Hello eClubbers and Friends of the Club

We’re moving the day of the monthly social from Thursday to Wednesday so that 2015 Assistant Goveror Bill Randall can participate on a regular basis. Those of you who know Bill know that he has a way of making just about any activity more entertaining. So the date is second Wednesday March 11. The Growler is getting good reviews recently, so unless someone has another suggestion, the Growler it will be.

Short notice, but  on Monday March 2 Danville Rotary is hosting San Ramon Valley High School Students for the club’s annual Four Way Test Speech Contest.The winner will go to the semifinals with other clubs. That is followed by a District Runoff at a date and location to be announced. You will be thoroughly impressed by the creativity and professionalism of the presenters. Come on down to Faz at noon!

YOUTH-TO-YOUTH BARBECUE- FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH AT 11:00AM  – Danville Rotary volunteers will be serving up burgers at the CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS AT 655 OLD ORCHARD ROAD, DANVILLE, next to the school district offices. If you are in the area, follow the smoke signals and visit with us.

GLOBAL GRANT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – Have you wanted to go on a Rotary international project? This could be it!
Help renovate two schools in Mexico in the farming town of Las Varas, Nayarit, north of Puerta Vallarta. Four teams are needed for a week each, starting April 21st and the last team departs May 19th. For more details, contact Grier Graff at gg@berkeleyrotary.org .
