Make Impact – Give Time/Talent

Some of the best moments of a Rotarian’s life come from the participation in Rotary Club events, such as Meetings, Service Projects and Fundraisers.

District 5160 Club Meetings provide education on community issues, Rotary programs and international projects.  Typically, there is a fee for the meal served (breakfast, lunch or dinner), so be prepared to pay for that when you arrive.

District 5160 Club Service Projects are a great way to make a personal impact to improve community assets, assist seniors, work with at-risk youth, and much more.  Usually, signing up with the Rotary Club sponsoring the event is recommended to keep you informed of updates, including changes in time, location or cancellation.

District 5160 Club Fundraisers are a great way to help further the local Rotary Club’s program efforts in the local community while meeting new people and having a great time doing it.  Most Rotary Clubs are excited to have additional volunteers help at their events.  All Rotary Clubs will gladly sell you tickets to their events or help you be a sponsor.

Check the Upcoming Events calendar frequently for information on Rotary Club events happening near you. If you are not finding good opportunities through the Clubs nearest you, you might try doing some Self-Directed Service.

Self-Directed Service is another way that Gateway Rotarians make an impact by giving of their time to a cause in the community that they are concerned or passionate about!  It is a great way to get those community service hours in and reach out to others by representing Rotary in a way consistent with the Rotary brand.
